Code of ethics

All breeders and owners who register with the UBBR automatically accept to abide by our code of ethics. Breaching our code of ethics will result in a ban from registering with us, a ban from attending any events by the UBBR and all REGISTRY paperwork withdrawn and a fine of up to £500 may be ensued.

• All members agree to abide by the Animal Welfare Act
• Members must agree NOT to breed from a dog/bitch that could be harmful in anyway to the animal or to the breed
• Members will NOT allow their dogs to roam at large or to cause a nuisance or harm
• Members will only sell a puppy if they expect that it will have a happy and healthy life
• Members will help re-home dogs they have sold if owner circumstances have changed
• Members will NOT mislead anyone any person regarding the quality and health of a dog
• Members will NOT misrepresent the characteristics of a breed
• Members will NOT falsely advertise in any way shape or form
• Members will ensure that the correct UBBR documentation is provided with their registered dogs and the correct information with regards to transferring ownership is provided to potential client
• Members will at all times conduct themselves in a manner that does not bring disrepute to the breed or the UBBR
• Members will refrain from unnecessary verbal attacks/abusive behavior on other members or UBBR Admin in person or on social media
• Members must recognize their responsibility in regards to protecting their breeds reputation and the reputation of their registry (UBBR)
